Home Care Assistance of Barrie, Ontario Community Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Bradford, Ontario

We are seeking PSWs for community clients in the Bradford area. Shifts vary from mornings to evenings. We are seeking part-time to full-time individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed. 

Job Benefits:

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan

  • Providing medication support 

  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support  

  • Maintaining open communication with client and their family

  • Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates

  • Responding to all emergency situations

  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate

  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Satisfactory professional references

  • Previous working experience as a caregiver is required**

  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
