Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Vascular Technologist. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be accountable to provide direct care to patients in accordance with the established Policies and Procedures of Blake Medical Center. You will also maintain clinical competencies through continuing education; and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
You will involve the patient and/or family in the utilization of processes, which respect patient's rights.
You will demonstrate competency in preparation of the procedure room and the patient in accordance to department standards of care.
You will utilize a collaborative and interdisciplinary process to provide appropriate patient/family education, based on the plan of care.
You will participate in a coordinated process of care, based on the patient's assessed needs, spanning the illness-to-wellness continuum.
You will participate in meetings, committees, and continuing education to improve both individual, departmental, and organizational performance.
You will document clinical information to support the assessment, treatment, education, and continuity of care among health care providers.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program
RDMS in Abdomen / OB-GYN/ or RVT
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in General, Breast and Vascular ultrasound
CPR or BLS within 30 days of hire
