Edwards Commercial Fire and Security is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager who will lead a team of intermediate to experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on executing and implementing supply chain strategy. Responsible for developing and improving commodity management and sourcing to processes to enhance price, quality, timing, and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy Development:

Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation through strategic sourcing initiatives.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to achieve optimal value.

Monitor supplier performance against established metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Supplier Evaluation:

Evaluate and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and standards.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier stability, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical factors.

Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize supply chain risks.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Operations, Legal) to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.

Partner with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sourcing activities with operational requirements.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract compliance.

Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing activities, metrics, and achievements to senior management.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the sourcing function.

Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, logistics or supplier development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive results and achieve cost savings.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
