Position Description

Job Summary

What’s the job?

To be successful in this role, the Production Supervisor provides leadership and facilitates the development of the

production team. This position is accountable for meeting the established Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Safety, Quality,

Delivery & Cost (SQDC).The Production Supervisor uses continuous improvement (CI) to drive collaboration and foster alearning environment for the production team. Additionally, the supervisor creates a culture of engagement and trust

within the production team following the Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.

Safety

• Actively model and coach a culture of safety by continuously evaluating behaviors, practices, and conditions to ensure workplace safety is first and foremost

• Accountable for fostering a safe work culture using safety tools including audits, investigations, job safety analysis, etc.

• Prepare incident reports when required and conduct requisite employee follow up

• Quickly addresses safety observations to prevent employee injury or property damage, Day-to-Day Tactical

• Coordinate associate line responsibility to maximize utility of the production schedule

• Ensure production reporting (output, run rates, yield, availability, downtime, etc.) is communicated to associates in a timely manner

• Communicates metrics, issues, expectations, with other Production Supervisors, Leads, and other key stakeholders

• Lead daily, weekly and or monthly production team meetings

• Manage time keeping records, attendance reporting, disciplinary actions

• Audit quality checks performed by line personnel

• Data entry using local systems, e.g., SAP

Continuous Improvement

• Coaches associates to identify inefficiencies in processes while supporting or delivering corrective action plans

• Coaches associates to identify opportunities to improve changeover process to maximize scheduled production run rates

• Promotes good housekeeping practices following 5S methodology

• Audit production compliance to ensure Bill of Materials, Standard Operating Standards (SOP’s), Production Reporting, etc. is

followed as prescribed

Leadership

• Excellent interpersonal skills – strong communicator

• A coach (performance) and mentor (development)

• Strong problem-solving capabilities

• Open-minded team player - understands when to lead and when to support

• Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback

• Able to demonstrate the ability to negotiate positive change

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

• 4 year degree preferred ( equivalent experience may be considered)

• 3+ years of supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred)

• Knowledge of SAP preferred

• Demonstrated leadership ability

• Experience in WCM/Lean Methodology
