Market Equipment LLC Refrigeration Service Technician - Montana in Bozeman, Montana

We have been in business for 50 years and work with some of the most prominent supermarket and grocery chains in the US covering Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana. Our company has built its reputation by delivering superior value to its customer/partners and being versatile in the breadth of brands it supports while providing quality installations to its clients’ needs.

We continually hire Service Technicians located in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and service and repair of mechanical and electrical components of refrigeration systems

  • Maintaining, diagnosing and repairing multiple types of refrigeration systems, as well as all components related to the equipment. Including self-contained coolers and freezers, single and rack systems

  • Performing minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment including walk-in drain lines, case drain lines, cooling towers and water-cooled condensers

  • Collaborating directly with grocery store managers and store directors

  • Quoting equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary with customers

  • Maintaining proper van stock, tools and safety equipment on work van

  • Inspecting plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems and identifying specifications that are required

  • Performing preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and Refrigeration

  • Appropriate use of supplies and materials in refrigeration repairs

    Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC/R and controls)

  • Able to use basic tools such as; hand tools, tape measures, battery operated tools, etc.

  • Able to identify and understand the refrigeration cycle

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Experience with refrigeration and or/commercial HVAC installation/service a plus!

  • Must be available for on call work as needed.

  • Ability to pass a physical/drug screen/background investigation/ driving abstract.
