Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Manager in the Government sector, based in Boynton Beach, Florida. This role involves managing procurement processes, ensuring efficient use of resources, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the procurement processes for various government departments
• Utilize various ERP solutions to ensure efficient workflow and resource planning
• Coordinate and manage bids and tenders for procurement purposes
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and materials
• Utilize software applications such as 3M, Coupa, CRM, and Microsoft Excel for various procurement tasks
• Ensure adherence to government procurement policies and regulations
• Manage the purchasing department functions and coordinate with other departments as necessary
• Evaluate bid proposals, bid documents, and bid requests to ascertain the best purchasing options
• Oversee purchasing management strategies and develop bid strategies
• Handle customer service inquiries related to procurement activities and provide resolution. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a procurement role within a government organization.
• Proficiency in procurement software such as 3M, Coupa, and CRM.
• Familiarity with ERP solutions and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Experience using About Time software.
• Understanding of budget processes and buying processes.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle invoices and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of government procurement processes.
• Experience in bid evaluation, creating bid documents and managing bid lists.
• Skills in bid management, creating bid packages and proposals.
• Ability to handle bid requests, bid solicitation, and the creation of bid specifications.
• Experience in formulating bid strategies.
• Familiarity with tender offers and tenders.
• Experience in carrying out purchasing activities and managing a purchasing department.
• Knowledge of purchasing functions and purchasing management.
• Experience in purchasing materials and implementing purchasing policies.
