Wood County Hospital Surgery Scheduler - WC ENT in Bowling Green, Ohio

Wood County ENT a subsidiary of Wood County Hospital, is now accepting applications for a Surgery Scheduler. The Surgery Scheduler oversees the day-to-day operations in their practice for the coordination of surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, referrals, insurance verifications, assures that all medical exams, testing and follow-up are coordinated and completed as directed by the provider. The Surgery Coordinator also effectively plans surgical patients by coordinating surgery and clinical activities to achieve patient and provider satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates surgical schedule processes related to billing, referrals and authorizations in order to provide a quality patient care service and billable service to the patient.

  • Coordinates patient care services in order to obtain surgical clearance.

  • Monitor practice adherence to the credit and collection policies and procedures.

  • Enters demographics and charges accordingly, codes surgical procedures using ICD10 diagnosis and CPT coding as documented and approved by the provider.

  • Manages surgical caseloads timely while processing patients through specific patient criteria to obtain surgical clearance.

    Shift Details:

    Hours: Full Time, 36 hours/week

    Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00pm

    Minimum Requirements:

    Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited college program or certificate program. In lieu of formal education, a high school diploma with a minimum of two years' experience is required.
