Wood County Hospital RN - Cardiac Rehabilitation (Per Diem) in Bowling Green, Ohio

The Cardiac Rehab RN provides personal care and professional excellence with the integration of monitored exercise, educational instruction for patient and family in risk factor modification, cardiovascular disease, nutrition, stress management, and emotional support.

Job Duties:

  • Perform patient assessments, planning, implementation, education of patient cardiovascular disease, risk modifications and outcome evaluations.

  • Manage Cardiac Rehabilitation Information, i.e.  order verification, insurance verification coverage, patient scheduling, billing and charge auditing.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of exercise modalities for Cardiac Rehab patients

  • Facilitates education classes and physical exercise sessions in a safe environment.

  • Ensures safety of patients during monitored exercise sessions through health assessment, medication compliance verification, ECG interpretation and management and transfer to higher level of care as deemed necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited or other recognized nursing program

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Cardiac rehab nursing experience preferred.

Minimum License/Certification:

  • Current RN license in the state of Ohio

  • BLS certified.

  • ACLS certified.
