Wood County Hospital Registered Nurse/RN-Acute Care in Bowling Green, Ohio

Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a RN in our Acute Care Department. The Med/Surg RN provides personal care and professional excellence with the systematic use of the nursing process in providing/directing the care of cardiac, post bariatric, and general medical/surgical patients.

Job Duties:

  • Perform initial assessment of patients.

  • Formulate nursing diagnoses and establish nursing care plan based on admission assessments.

  • Develop and implement teaching/discharge plans in nursing care plan and review daily.

  • Involve patient/family/significant others in planning care with consideration for the individual's uniqueness, existing knowledge, skills and behaviors and how they affect ability to benefit from plan.

  • Care for routine short stay and inpatient medical/surgical patients who may require monitoring.

Shift Details:

Hours: Full time,36 hours per week

Shift: Day and Night Shifts available 

Weekend and On-Call rotation required.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:            

  • Graduate from an accredited school or otherwise recognized nursing program by the time of hire. 

Minimum Certification:        

  • Licensed RN in the state of Ohio.

Preferred Certification:        

  • Med/Surg or Telemetry experience preferred.

  • Pediatric experience preferred.
