Wood County Hospital Medical Laboratory Scientist (Full Time-DAYS) in Bowling Green, Ohio
Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Medical Technologist in our Laboratory Department. The selected candidate will provide accurate and timely testing of specimens brought into the lab.

Job Duties:
Performs all aspects of laboratory test ordering, specimen processing, and result reporting for inhouse manual and automated procedures as well as referred testing to produce accurate, quality, timely laboratory data.
Verifies patient identity according to hospital and department policy before performing any procedure.
Performs required maintenance on instruments and documentation of procedures performed and as assigned.
Demonstrates appropriate skills and knowledge required to work with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Days

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- An associate degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science required. Associate's degree in medical technology/Clinical Laboratory Sciences preferred.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology/Clinical Laboratory Science preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.
Preferred Certification:
- Medical Technologist (ASCP) certified or equivalent within 1 year of employment preferred.
