The Department of Psychology is located within the College of Arts and Sciences. The College strives to foster and sustain an engaging culture of discovery, creativity, teaching, learning, and collaboration, enriched by a diversity of experiences and perspectives. We are especially interested in recruiting candidates who can contribute, through their teaching, scholarly/creative work, and/or service, to our efforts to meet the challenge of achieving inclusive excellence in our academic community. The Department of Psychology at BGSU enjoys a nationally ranked doctoral program that offers specializations in clinical, industrial-organizational, developmental, and neural-cognitive sciences. In all, the department includes 22 faculty members, approximately 95 graduate students, and over 600 undergraduate majors. The faculty are committed to excellence in teaching and research. The department fosters an inclusive environment through faculty participation in the NSF-funded ALLIES program, a student-led committee focused on issues related to underrepresented groups, and efforts to weave attention to cultural awareness throughout clinical training.
