GE Vernova Compliance Monitoring Leader – Electrification Systems in Boulogne-Billancourt, France

Job Description Summary

The Compliance Monitoring leader will be responsible for developing and managing the compliance assurance program including compliance risk assessments, monitoring and testing, and implementing corrective actions. The role will be based in Grid and will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for GE Vernova Electrification Systems business. The work completed in this role will provide assurance on key compliance controls and processes and will partner with the functions to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive assurance program including annual monitoring plan based on assessment of key risks, operational changes and compliance requirements defined in enterprise standards and business policies.

  • Partner with functions like sourcing, commercial, legal, HR and controllership teams to define areas of monitoring, create test plans and utilize data to perform reviews

  • Establish cadence with key risk area owners to assess and refresh state of compliance with the Compliance enterprise standards.

  • Establish mechanisms for transactional testing and monitoring for areas related to improper payments and third-party risks including business courtesies, high risk payments, commissions and discounts, onboarding screening and diligence and other processes. Understand and identify any breakdowns against current procedures as well as highlight risks and control gaps.

  • Utilize data analytics and monitoring tools to enable efficient and risk-based testing.

  • Make recommendations and partner with functional owners to implement corrective actions /controls based on monitoring findings

  • Conduct annual and ongoing compliance risk assessment processes based on business organization, relevant industry regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

  • Participate in and support ancillary risk assessment processes led by ERM, Finance, Internal Audit, SoX etc.

  • Roll-up results into metrics that analyses trends, risks and gaps. Develop key program effectiveness metrics to drive visibility into program/process maturity and effectiveness.

  • Work with the overall compliance team as well as cross functional teams to develop and implement remediation to assurance findings that not only mitigate the risks but also work operationally to support the business.

  • Support Electrification Systems Chief Compliance Officer to lead improvement of processes and controls and ensure that the business implements and abides by our compliance program.

  • Assist with all other compliance-related duties and special projects as identified by the individual or as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • GE Corporate Audit Staff experience.

  • 10 years of compliance, legal, or similar relevant experience.

  • Audit, testing & monitoring or similar relevant experience.

  • Interview and investigative skills.

  • Skilled in identifying risks & controls and developing audit tests of controls.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a global environment, set priorities and drive tasks and projects to conclusion in an extremely fast paced environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication; professional fluency in English

  • Strong data analytics skills

  • Solid judgment, clear thinker and business sense

  • Ability to create an environment of continual learning, and to change the way the compliance is working to be simpler and more adaptive.

  • Ability to work horizontally to deliver outcomes.
