Leidos Technical Writer in Boulder, Colorado

Description

Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer on the NOAA Cyber Security Center contract. This position will be part of the program management office (PMO) team, and in addition to technical writing will also support the Program Manager.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Draft, expand, refine, and edit technical concepts or solutions into easy-to-read, comprehensive, compliant, signature-ready, and compelling documents tailored for audiences ranging from entry-level technical to executive level.

  • Interact with technical team members for content development for program documentation.

  • Standardize documentation where appropriate, e.g. templates, plans, processes, procedures.

  • Become well versed in and comply with federal government (especially NOAA) and Leidos official document requirements and style guides.

  • Support the program manager and technical staff as needed by attending meetings, taking notes, and submitting meeting notes and record of decisions for approval.

  • Support the Program Manager in tracking of program staffing vacancies using a dedicated Resource Management Tool by assisting with drafting and publishing job requisitions and tracking candidate submissions using the tool.

  • Assist with development and editing of required program reports and deliverables.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in English or journalism and less than 2 years of experience

  • The ability to efficiently and effectively write accurate and compliant documents.

  • strong ability to gather requirements, perform research, compile information, prioritize and collate, draft, edit, and produce high-quality documentation that satisfies customer needs with minimal follow-on work needed.

  • Ability to manage multiple communications projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work cross functionally among PMO and technical staff.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience drafting IT, cybersecurity, or related technical documentation.

  • Some project management experience

Clearance / Citizenship

  • US Citizenship is required.

  • Must have current and be able to maintain security clearance, specifically DoD/Secret or Top-Secret Clearance (Interim Top Secret or adjudicated Secret acceptable).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00
