Level 1-3, determined by experience and skills Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $28.23 - $68.97 an hour - Full Time, Days. 40 hours/week.

We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and organized Epic Systems Analyst to join our Clinical applications team. Responsibilities include: the analysis, design, implementation, education, and support of assigned Epic application software. The Systems Analyst – Epic will understand the functions and processes of customer departments and then analyze, design, implement, educate, and assist the customers in the use of the software systems at Boulder Community Health (BCH). This work will be done while maintaining and/or improving patient safety, quality, workflow, and cost containment. In addition, the Systems Analyst – Epic will support hospital initiatives, compliance, data for regulatory bodies and the viability of BCH. You will be successful in this role if you are: self-motivated to actively learn about your application, able to successfully navigate often shifting priorities, enjoy researching and investigating the root cause of situations before landing on the first thing you find, communicating across teams and stakeholders successfully, like autonomy within a framework, can successfully manage your workload, and are a team player. Epic Analyst experience is highly preferred. Epic user experience (clinical experience) is desired. Candidates will be required to complete an Epic aptitude test called the Sphinx test. Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a Healthcare related field preferred. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or relevant IT/Healthcare certifications will be considered. Level 1 •Demonstrated technical aptitude via standardized Sphinx exam is required. •Epic certification or accreditation for primary supported Application(s) required within six months of hire date. Level 2 •Demonstrated technical aptitude via standardized Sphinx exam is required. •Epic certification or accreditation for primary supported Application(s) required within six months of hire date. A proficiency may be approved by the Director. •Additional Healthcare or IT Industry Certification preferred: AAHAM, HFMA, HIMSS, ITIL, RHIT, or PMP Certification. Other certifications to be considered for relevance as approved by the Director •Additional Epic Certification, Accreditation, Proficiency in related Application(s) preferred. Level 3 •Demonstrated technical aptitude via standardized Sphinx exam is required. •Epic Certification or Accreditation for the primary supported application(s) required within 6 months of hire •Epic Core Analyst Badge and one additional Epic Badge, Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency in a related specialty required within one year of hire •Additional Healthcare or IT Industry Certification strongly preferred: AAHAM, HFMA, HIMSS, ITIL, RHIT, or PMP Certification. Other certifications to be considered for relevance as approved by the Director.
Experience Level 1 •Up to two years of relevant healthcare or IT (Information Technology) experience preferred. Level 2 •Two to five years of relevant healthcare IT application support experience required. •Epic user or support experience preferred. •Experience demonstrating a high level of efficiency using technology in a healthcare setting is required. •Some experience preferred in assessing and developing Healthcare IT support documentation, including Knowledge Base, Status Report, Workflow Diagram, Tip Sheet, Policy/Procedure, and Key Decision documents and communication. •Participated in a minimum of one healthcare technology implementation/go-live or significant system upgrade preferred. •Previous team or project leadership experience is preferred. Level 3 •More than five years of Epic application support experience required. •Experience demonstrating a high level of expertise in using technology in a healthcare setting is required. •Experience in assessing and developing Healthcare IT support documentation, including Knowledge Base, Status Report, Workflow Diagram, Tip Sheet, Policy/Procedure, Quality Control and Key Decision documents and communication is required •Worked independently as an application coordinator on a minimum of three healthcare technology implementations/go-lives or significant system upgrades required •Previous team or project leadership is required.
