Caribou Thunder Hardware Engineer in Boulder, Colorado

Hardware Engineer

Location: Boulder, CO

Schedule: Full Time

Salary: Starting at $100K

OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support integration, operations, and maintenance of the infrastructure. This role will provide support to the hardware, network, comm and antenna infrastructure and real time resolution of problems to avoid and/or minimize system downtime, by monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, restoring outages, performing maintenance, and tracking issues. This position is vital to the success of a large U.S. Space Force program.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM plus 9 years of experience

  • OR Master’s plus 7 years of experience

    RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electrical components.

  • Develops designs for the installation of and performs the integration of those components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.

  • Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.

  • Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electrical components.

  • Experience in designing and integration of installing assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters.

  • Experience in planning, directing, reviewing and coordinating project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.

  • Experience in preparing specifications, evaluating vendors, and analyzing test reports.
