Fujifilm Sonosite Sr. Software Engineer in Bothell, Washington

Summary:

 

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain custom drivers running on the Fujifilm Sonosite flagship products. Requires competency in all aspects of the product level software development life cycle including requirements, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Requires working closely with the broader software engineering team and other internal engineering teams. Qualified candidates will possess a good understanding of the Windows 10 kernel, RTOS, C/C++, PCI, I2C, has experience with DirectX, programming in multithreaded software environment, and possess a good understanding of the SOLID design principles. Candidates must be very team oriented and eager to work in a fast-paced environment and self-starter.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand current driver functions, designs, development environment, and release process.
  • Make any required changes to device drivers.
  • Design, implement, and test system service features
  • Develop code running on a microcontroller
  • Participate in reviews of team member's designs and provide feedback that helps improve overall system quality and performance.
  • Support integration of software modules with Hardware and System teams.
  • Conduct reviews of requirements, designs, and tests. Incorporate feedback as needed to improve performance, reliability, and robustness.

Knowledge and Experience:

Accredited Engineering Degree -- BSCS/BSEE or related degree (Master degree preferred)

7+ years experience with software development for embedded systems

5+ years experience in developing with C++ in multithreaded applications

Extensive knowledge of Windows operating system fundamentals and peripheral integration

Experience with developing Windows kernel mode device drivers
