Bausch Health Quality Inspector II (Bothell, WA) in Bothell, Washington

This position is responsible for verifying that material meets specified inspection criteria. This position inspects purchased parts, assemblies and accessories for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Inspects purchased parts, assemblies and accessories per specified requirements using precision measuring instruments;

  • Setups and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, etc.;

  • Develops and refines inspection methods, techniques, and processes;

  • Assists in development of inspection instructions;

  • Performs first article inspections and supplies data to engineering;

  • Maintains component and supplier performance data and assists in supplier quality management;

  • Maintains inspection and tests equipment;

  • Administers the nonconforming materials process;

  • Completes and maintains inspection records, perform statistical analysis and generate reports;

  • Performs in-process and final inspections as required;Additional duties as defined by supervisor.

Experience and Education:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience with a thorough understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerance);

  • Five years inspection experience, preferably in the medical device industry;

  • Able to read and understand specifications and inspection criteria and to apply criteria using appropriate and properly configured inspection tools;

  • Able to manipulate and use handheld and visual measuring instruments;

  • Experience in the operation and programming of optical inspection systems;

  • Local travel to suppliers to perform source inspections may be required;

  • A self-motivated and meticulous individual, able to work in a team and small company environment with minimal supervision;

  • Must effectively communicate and have the ability to read and comprehend written technical instructions;

  • Must have excellent work ethics, personal responsibility, initiative, and teamwork;

  • Proficient in the use of PC software (MS Word, Excel, etc.);

  • Able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs with or without accommodations;

  • Experience in FDA regulated environment a plus.

As required by law, Bausch Health provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in the US. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For this role, the range of starting pay is $26 to $36 per hour.
