Core Responsibility: The Production Associate is responsible for performing all activities associated to the company's Whole plasmid sequencing (WPS) service and high-throughput gene synthesis process. Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities: * Perform Plasmid Sequencing Service (PSS) using Nanopore DNA sequencing technology. * Perform Sanger Sequencing. * Prepare master mix for large scale PCR or restriction enzyme digest reactions. * Operate liquid handler and automated oligo picker. * Measure DNA concentrations as needed. * Work within a multi-disciplinary team; meet goals for accuracy, production deadlines and throughput utilizing the company's proprietary gene-synthesis platform and related tools. * Perform production protocols according to established company operating procedures and assist with general production support as needed. Qualifications * Associate or Bachelor Degree in Life Science. * 1 years lab experience preferred related to biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or chemistry. * The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses outstanding organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to perform as an effective team member. * He/she will have background in molecular biology with hands-on knowledge of the uses and properties of DNA and enzymes, PCR and thermocyclers, gel electrophoresis, and photo documentation. Biology/microbiology training and some lab experiences are a plus. * Good computer skills, precise attention to detail, record keeping, and adherence to protocols is required.
