Job Description:

CDM Smith is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sitecore Systems Administrator to play a pivotal role in the efficient management and optimization of our Sitecore content management system that delivers www.cdmsmith.com. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security and performance of our primary digital platform, enabling seamless content management and user experiences. This role is integral to our ongoing digital transformation and will contribute to enhancing our online presence and user engagement. The location for this role is in the United States.

The successful candidate will:

• Under the direction of the strategic stakeholders, develop a tactical roadmap for the website, outlining short-term and long-term goals, feature enhancements and improvements aligned with business objectives and priorities. Drive the implementation of new website features and enhancements, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Oversee website general maintenance and performance, performing routine review, guidance and updates to ensure site content and data are applied in consistent manner (i.e., consistent and correct use of taxonomy, image descriptions, metadata fields, heading standards among other areas). Monitor and manage website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall functionality.

• Collaborate with developers, designers, and other team members to implement new functionalities and optimize existing features within the Sitecore environment. Contribute to strategic discussions and planning related to the long-term growth and evolution of our digital platform.

• Oversee and manage development priorities and project workload (could be with in-house team/resources or outside consultant).

• Manage user support. Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and users, addressing inquiries related to website functionality and content development. Create and update user guides, FAQs, and other support resources to assist internal users and content developers in utilizing the website effectively.

• Proactively identify and address technical issues, system vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks, working to ensure a secure and optimized digital platform. Conduct regular CMS maintenance tasks, including updates, patches and backups, to ensure system integrity and availability. Collaborate with Business Technology’s infrastructure/network team to perform routine backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard website data.

• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of organization and attention.

• Coordinate the demands of multiple business stakeholders, website editors and content contributors to meet marketing and communications objectives.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, web development or related field.

• 4 years related experience.

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as Sitecore administrator, website administrator, webmaster or similar role.

• Sitecore Administrator certification.

• Proficiency in Sitecore and basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Next.js or React a plus.

• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.

• Knowledge of website security best practices.

• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Web platform experience and basic knowledge of content management systems (bonus Sitecore 9.x/10.x/XM Cloud knowledge).

• Digital marketing or business communication experience with strong writing, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Solid knowledge of project management and business analysis best practices.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word) and project management tools.

• Strong ability to understand technical and managerial materials.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:
