Parksite Retail Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

The Retail Specialist plays a key role in the process by actively promoting brands and products considered to be the some of the best in the business. Core tasks as a Merchandiser include point-of-sale collateral development and placement, conducting in-store product knowledge sessions with dealer salespeople.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and maintain product displays & point of sale materials at customer locations

  • Act as part of a team consisting of a Territory Manager and Inside Sales Representative

  • Set up for product shows & contractor events

  • Coordinate product training - setting dates, making arrangements, etc…

  • Lead product demonstrations for customer sales associates

    Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to successfully use consultative selling – relating products to the solution of customer problems

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Self-starter

  • Listening skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Ability to use power tools

    Physical Requirements/Environment:

  • Train customers in product installation

  • Use power tools and handle material to construct displays at customer locations and product shows

  • Must be able to safely and regularly lift bulky merchandise up to 50 lbs.

  • Overnight travel 10%; Frequent local travel throughout territory to client locations

    Experience:

  • 1-3 year’s experience in the building product industry working with contractors, builders and dealers

  • Experience with the use of power tools and material construction

  • Prior sales experience
