Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, and responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.

As Jackpocket’s Regional Operations Manager, you will manage multiple operational locations across several markets. You will directly manage people managers across locales and provide strategic oversight for all operational functions. Your core responsibilities will include driving process improvements, developing standard operating procedures and implementing best practices across multiple locations to ensure all staff are knowledgeable and motivated. You’ll also partner directly with executive leadership and own expansion strategies for new markets, products, and technologies. This role will require travel throughout the Eastern US up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage large teams of employees (including other managers) across multiple states

  • Develop and deliver new hire training and facilitate ongoing learning and development for staff

  • Lead new market launches and own strategic plans for scalable growth

  • Establish production KPIs and conduct quality assessments, including creating dashboards and reporting for the management team

  • Manage relationships with lottery authorities, partners, vendors, contractors, and other external stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures in collaboration with peers and leadership

  • Continually evaluate performance and efficiency and implement procedural and tactical improvements

  • Set team and individual level goals, track OKRs, and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to drive performance

  • Partner across functions including Facilities, HR, Legal, IT, Product, Engineering, etc. for strategic projects, ad-hoc initiatives, and rollout of new policies, technologies, markets, etc.

Qualifications

  • Willing and able to travel and be available as needed, including nights and weekends

  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and execute action plans

  • Ability to think critically under pressure and address unforeseen issues or circumstances in real time to ensure business continuity

  • Demonstrated experience developing and improving operational processes

  • Technically proficient and able to perform technical troubleshooting

  • Ability to function independently and own strategic projects from start to finish independently or collaboratively

  • Experience in hiring, managing, and developing individual contributors and people leaders across multiple markets

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment law

  • Experience overseeing a workplace that adheres to OSHA regulations

  • Clear and professional communicator, able to partner and present effectively at all levels of the organization

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000

This is a full-time exempt position and is not eligible for overtime under FLSA requirements.
