Your Role at Raising Cane’s

The Regional Leader of Recruiting is responsible for leading the full cycle recruiting process for restaurant management positions and providing strategic support for crewmember hiring within a specific region. This role is also responsible for leading a team of Area Leaders of Recruiting. This role partners directly with Regional Business Unit Team leadership to assess hiring needs, execute near and long-term strategies to ensure all new Restaurants open fully staffed and all existing Restaurants maintain optimal staffing levels.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of field-based recruiters, providing strategic direction and leading the development and execution of plans for regional staffing efforts

  • Monitors regional recruitment reports and ensures the regional recruiting team is meeting or exceeding performance standards

  • Hires, trains, and develops all field-based recruiter positions within the assigned region

  • Establishes and maintains talent market expertise including comprehensive view of regional trends and competitor best practices

  • Certifies that all regional recruiting and employment actions are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures

  • Sources and attracts internal and external candidates to fill current and future open roles to coincide with the organization’s growth strategy

  • Evaluates incoming applications and actively sources passive candidates to select management talent that aligns with the company management profile and culture

  • Leads the New Restaurant Opening (NRO) crewmember hiring strategy ensuring successful hiring and onboarding to meet staffing needs

  • Develops market and regional partnerships to support recruiting efforts in the region

  • Leads the restaurant management recruiting process to ensure consistency across all markets

  • Owns the recruitment planning and talent selection process for the assigned region

  • Builds the company employment brand and increases the presence within the communities through partnerships with universities, networking organizations, community-based organizations, vendors, etc

  • Develops annual recruiting support plans for the region to be reviewed and adjusted as needed

  • Cultivates strong work working relationships with regional leadership and supports teams ensuring recruiting efforts are aligned with Business Unit goals and objectives

  • Provides detailed regional staffing updates on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis

  • Works cross functionally to ensure alignment with company goals and creates comprehensive plans and strategies for sourcing external talent

Requirements for Success

  • Able to work a varied schedule related to business needs including days, evenings and weekends

  • Proficient with a variety of technology systems and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience; restaurant experience preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in a leadership role with an ability to coach and develop all levels

  • Experience leading field-based recruiting teams preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience working in restaurants preferred

  • Experience working for a multi-unit restaurant, retail or hospitality company preferred

  • Able to travel up to 50% and required to live within assigned Region

The physical work environment for this role includes a combination of working from a home-based office, representing Raising Cane’s out in the community, traveling throughout the region, as well as time spent in our Restaurants. This can and will include working in a fast-paced kitchen and interacting with and serving customers. This requires extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing and lifting. It also includes working both inside and outside in varied temperatures, with and around food products and common allergens, industrial equipment, commercial cleaning products, and requires use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic activities necessary to complete the job function.
