Seniorlink/Caregiver Homes Product Designer in Boston, Massachusetts

As an integral member of the product team, the Product Designer serves as a contributor to the design and experience of the Vela communication/collaboration platform. This individual works directly with Vela Product Owners and stakeholders to translate user and client needs into concepts, designs, then ultimately, products. The Product Designer works to create interfaces based on established design guidelines, best practices, and standards.

  • Create user-centered designs by balancing business requirements and user needs using research methodologies such as job-to-be-done and user/stakeholder interviews

  • Design modular, cohesive, and intuitive user experiences for the native and web app interfaces for the Vela platform

  • Manage a backlog of design work in collaboration with product management, development teams, and design leadership to support a consistent rollout of features aligned with our overall product strategy and release commitments

  • Manage expectations as priorities change due to shifts in client demands

  • Mid-level

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in design or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, native app and responsive web design; experience in healthcare technologies is a plus

  • Experience in creating user flows, wireframing, and prototypes for web and native apps

  • Strong knowledge of design tools such as Figma is required

  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 is required. JS is a plus

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desired

  • Experience in Service Design is a plus
