Job Summary:

Networking Team Lead provides functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the network infrastructure. Performs maintenance of file servers and network devices including the restoration of hardware and software. Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system. Works with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues. May develop and administer end-user training to achieve efficient utilization of LAN/WAN. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Lead the identification and prioritization of IT initiatives to drive business value and competitive advantage.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, including systems administrators, network engineers, developers, and support staff.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT department.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.

  • Ensure the availability, scalability, and security of IT systems and resources.

  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Monitor and mitigate IT risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand their IT needs and priorities.

  • Communicate IT initiatives, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred but not required.

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Current unexpired 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (at least ONE of the following):

  • CCNA-Security or

  • Security + CE or

  • CySA+ or

  • GICSP or

  • GSEC or

  • CCND or

  • SSCP or

  • IAT Level III certification is also acceptable (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISSP or Associate, CISA, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP).

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in network administration or a directly related role.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of network infrastructure principles and practices.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and handle complex issues independently.

  • Experience with security management and incident response.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, end users, and vendors.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CCNA certification preferred.
