Boston University MARKETING MANAGER,Agganis Arena Administration in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The position will be responsible for event marketing, promotions, and public relations campaigns for events held at Agganis Arena.

  • Oversees the Assistant Marketing Manager on fulfillment of all departmental needs, projects, budget, supervision of game day and office interns, and overall marketing and event strategic plans and vision.

  • Responsible for the implementation of strategic plans and vision for marketing department, specifically as it relates to Boston University men's hockey ticket sales and game experience.

  • Works closely with event promoters on their event advertising, marketing, and public relations campaigns.

  • Will coordinate game day promotions at Boston University hockey games held at Agganis Arena in an effort to build attendance, maximize revenue and sponsor benefits, and enhance the game day experience for Guests.

  • Will also manage and oversee content creation for all venue social media and email marketing initiatives.

  • Hires and supervises the Assistant Marketing Manager and student promotional team and office interns.

  • Responsible for the execution of all game day event presentation elements, including: Distribution of promotional giveaways, execution of in-game promotions, communication with the Boston University Pep Band, scheduling of in-game personnel such as anthem singers and public address announcers.

  • Coordinates outreach to the Boston University student, faculty and staff community in an effort to maximize publicity and build attendance.

Required Skills

  • B.A/B.S. in marketing, sports management, business management or related field.

  • Exceptional professional presentation, verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Basic understanding of graphic design fundamentals and web publishing technology.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant event and/or sports marketing experience.
