  • Performing pre‑analytical specimen preparation including stamping in, verifying ID, identification, test process and evaluating specimen quality.

  • Performing computer functions including order entry, result entry, inquiries and worksheet and/or report maintenance.

  • Performing waived moderately and highly complex tests under direction of supervisor, as permitted by regulatory standards.

  • Performing daily QC and routine troubleshooting and maintenance of lab instruments and prepares reagents as necessary.

  • Providing timely and courteous customer service for provider calling into the lab.

  • Maintaining workplace in a neat and orderly fashion and maintains supply inventory to keep work area adequately stocked.

  • Training new technicians and /or processing staff and interns from academic programs.

  • Participating in departmental continuous improvement programs as necessary.

    To qualify, you must have:

  • A n Associate degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and one-year of experience in a Medical Lab Technician I position .

  • T he analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.

  • T he ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions. Incumbents must respond appropriately to instructions, questions or requests for information.

  • MLT certified by one of the following: NCA, *ASCP, CAP (preferred)

    • 2:00pm - 10:30pm
