$4,000 sign-on bonus, if meets eligibility. This is a Monday through Friday overnight position, 9PM-5:30AM. Must be able to work in an independent manner.

Job Description:

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AIDE

  1. Main focus of responsibility to dry mop and wash floors with auto-scrub machinery, remove biohazard waste, linen, and trash from critical areas. At times, responsibility will involve terminal cleaning of the PACU and pre-op "Bond" Center, with a secondary focus on terminal cleaning of operating rooms, when necessary. This position may also be tasked to clean patient rooms, according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedure. This includes proper disinfection of all surfaces, restrooms, and floors. Cleans patient discharges. Cleans precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.

  2. Cleans all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. Checks and restocks paper supplies.

  3. Cleans offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.

  4. Cleans entrances, lobbies and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. Vacuums carpets according to department procedures.

  5. Cleans utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.

  6. Cleans corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.

  7. Cleans, strips, refinishes, spray buffs, shampoos, and maintains all floors.

  8. Operates automatic floor machine, buffing machine, shampooing machine and vacuums.

  9. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.

  10. Assist in training new personnel.

  11. Additional assignment(s) and tasks may be given by a manager, supervisor and/or lead. Some holiday, weekend, and sick/vacation coverage may be required.
