About the role

As a CBRE Driver, you will provide transportation as requested by the business. This includes picking up and delivering materials or individuals to a specified location.

This job is part of the GWS Maintenance function. They are responsible for responding to work orders in a timely manner and consistent within established service level agreements. Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair, installing, delivering, and moving furniture & boxes

What you’ll do

• Provide world-class transportation and customer service to office personnel, visitors, and clients.

• Keep travel logs and service records as required.

• Maintain a clean vehicle and make minor repairs as needed. May perform miscellaneous errands.

• Complete all assigned training

• Train and mentor new and current peers on duties and procedures.

• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors.

• Use existing procedures to tackle straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

• Assists with installation and modification of building furniture systems.

• Coordinate furniture deliveries from warehouse to regions

• Track, review and supervise all inbound and outbound work order & warehouse activity for quality control.

• Coordinate and provide freight quotes for furniture to be delivered

• Pulling product from warehouse and staging near dock for next day pickup

• Use of pallet jack

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. Valid driver’s license required.

Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders. Must be able to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Interpersonal skills to exchange straightforward information.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive attitude.

Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

DOT Medical card or able to obtain one

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
