Bear Mountain Health Care Director of Social Services in Boston, Massachusetts

Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center, a skilled nursing facility in Mattapan, MA, is currently seeking a full-time candidate for the Business Office Manager position.

This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility. Knowledge of the Point Click Care system and RFMS is preferred.

The right candidate will have good communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and the ability to be detailed oriented. Candidate must have experience preparing Managed Care, Mass Health, Private Pay, Coinsurance and applied income billing. Individual will perform routine collection calls to the Managed Care carriers and responsible parties to follow up on any outstanding balances, resolve any issues and submit corrected claims when required and will maintain documentation on all collection activity. Some of the other functions are: prepares daily census, reviews Payor Source Verification forms and ensures that the information entered in the patient’s setup in PCC is accurate, directs processing of accounts receivable adjustments/refunds, handles cash deposits, posts all cash and maintains the resident trust account including quarterly reports, and updates PCC with any changes in applied income. Also, this individual manages the month end process which includes the completion of data entry, census reconciliation including balancing cash collections, reviews claims and edits as needed. The Business Office Manager will also be responsible for oversight and processing of all accounts payable. The Individual will meet with the Administrator on past due private and Medicaid pending accounts weekly as well as prepare and attend monthly A/R meetings.
