Job Summary

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing remote hardware and software support.

Job Description

We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist with 5-10 years of experience to provide hardware and software support for our client. This position is full-time, remote, and a long-term contract.

Candidates must be able to work PST hours to support the client.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond professionally and courteously to all service requests and areas of the business entities

  • Utilize remoting tools (Dameware, SCCM, etc.) and remote desktop to provide level 2 technical support to over 110 veterinarian clinics and hospitals

  • Monitor work queues, open, update, and close ServiceNow incidents

  • Thoroughly and accurately document the details of user requests or issues, including diagnostic steps performed and the resolution provided

  • Act as a single point of contact for users of the Information & Technology Department, directing questions and reporting problems regarding services

  • Install desktop hardware/peripherals and printers

  • Install individual software packages as needed for all users

  • Use imaging software to expedite large equipment rollouts

  • Support other satellite offices, such as various clinical sites

  • Keep system information up to date in the ticketing system for asset tracking

  • Rotate on-call schedule with the rest of the team

  • Install and support various Veterinary Practice Management Software

  • Assist C-level executives, Directors, Doctors, nurses, etc.

  • Maintain a great attitude and willingness to learn

  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • 5 years of professional work experience

  • Experience supporting Telecom

  • Proficiency in MDM, O365 troubleshooting, and user management

  • Knowledge of data communication and network concepts, principles, and fundamentals

  • Relevant experience or strong aptitude for building or supporting data networks

  • Proficiency with LAN, WAN/MAN, data center networks, or wireless networks

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
