TEKsystems Creative Strategy Design Manager – Editorial Design in Boston, Massachusetts

Description:

• Lead art direction and creative advisory for priority and flagship editorial content pieces. Develop innovative design concepts and ensure their effective translation across various channels.

• Maintain and evolve design systems, standards, and best practices to achieve brand consistency and scalability, while also allowing creative flexibility, across all publication materials.

• Oversee and regularly update publication guidelines and templates, incorporating new formats such as horizontal PDFs and interactive PDFs, to remain at the cutting edge of design trends.

• Expand the company’s data visualization system to ensure seamless storytelling and collaboration across platforms with other Global Marketing & Communications teams such as editorial, digital marketing, and social media.

• Select on-brand images and photography for editorial content pieces.

• Optimize the image and photo selection processes to a state where you oversee strategic photo selection and provide guidance on the use and direction of GenAI imagery, serving as the primary point of contact for brand photography and the image library.

• Collaborate with the editorial team to evaluate the impact and efficacy of creative outputs, providing insights and actionable recommendations to enhance quality and resonance.

• Guide and inspire external designers and freelancers, offering direction and timely feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality design outputs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Main goal is for them to oversee content pieces for content studio, as well as support art direction and brand guidance.

  • Knowledge of GEN-AI is a plus

  • Knowledge of Woodwing tool is a plus

  • Must be able to manage high volume and trying to unpack new processes.

  • They should be able to interface with multiple stakeholders, the ability to be able to collaborate, manage expectations, problem solve

  • Characteristics or qualities: open to collaboration, communication skills, interacting with a lot of people at different levels, ability to provide actionable feedback and direction - could have 1-3 people they are mentoring
