BCHNP envisions a future where all students and members of the school community are thriving in a school environment that supports their behavioral health and wellbeing. We partner with school communities to co-create and sustain flexible, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed behavioral health systems that promote the health and wellbeing of all students, families, and staff. BCHNP is seeking to hire a full-time social worker as part of a state-wide grant. This position involves collaboration with a school district to implement and evaluate a school consultation model focused on behavioral health access and service, professional development, and capacity-building support.

This BCHNP School Focused Social Worker will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with BCHNP and school teams to help design, implement, and pilot a school consultation model to increase access to behavioral health care in MA

  • Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned school district

  • Designing, facilitating, and evaluating professional development for school professionals using a learning collaborative approach

  • Providing school-wide systems-level collaboration and consultation to enhance school infrastructure and referral processes.

  • Supporting the school team, which includes identifying goals, action plans, problem solving, providing resources, and addressing the unique needs of the school.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, and LICSW licensure in MA

  • A minimum of two years social work experience, with 7 + years of experience working in the field of school-based behavioral health highly preferred. Experience working in diverse school settings also highly preferred.

  • Experience providing tiered systems-level consultation to schools about behavioral health intervention and evaluation is ideal

  • Experience teaching, presenting/co-facilitating and/or providing trainings within K-12 schools preferred

  • A commitment to collaboratively develop materials, trainings, and consultation through a social justice and equity lens

  • The ability to work both independently and within a team environment, and communicate effectively with others to problem solve and achieve goals related to the project
