The Virtual Genome Center (VIGOR - https://www.virtualgenomecenter.org/ ) seeks a clinical research assistant to help with day to day operations of the study. The RA in this position will work on a team to ensure this multi-institutional research endeavor moves forward smoothly in achieving its goals.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Regular communication with site coordinators at the collaborating research sites

  • Direct participant contact to arrange and execute consent sessions for participation

  • Ensuring that testing is appropriately and accurately ordered

  • Tracking of all labs and survey forms

  • Data entry and basic analysis

  • Participation in weekly and monthly team meetings

  • Support of the PIs involved in the study

  • Tracking and storage of research documents

  • Conduct qualitative interviews with Spanish and English speaking families

  • Interact with Spanish speaking subjects regarding recruitment and follow-up procedures

To qualify, you must have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent in a science field with exposure/interest in genetics

  • Conversational fluency in Spanish required

  • Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.

  • Well-developed communication skills in order to provide critical information to patients, effectively deal with conflicting views or issues, and the ability to mediate fair solutions.

  • Advanced writing skills.
