PeopleReady Carpenter Helper in Boston, Massachusetts

As a Carpenter helper with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support an Exhibition set up in Downtown Boston . This position is located in Downtown Boston, public transportation is strongly recommended - parking is limited. Project is about 2+ weeks long. The pay rate for this job is $23 / hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Some carpentry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Able to lift moderately heavy scenery required.

  • Loading, unloading, and assembling scenery, lifting scenic elements into position and securing bolts, screws, coffin locks, etc.

  • Some cutting of carpet and vinyl, ability to read a tape measure required for positioning and placing vitrine cases.

  • Hanging / mounting graphics to walls squarely using levels and lasers.

  • Experience in theatrical, live event, and/or equivalent technical production is required.

  • Experience in operating a scissor lift required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to use a table saw, compound miter saw, nailers and staples, screw guns, jigsaws, multi-tools

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
