POSITION PURPOSE: The primary role is to provide reporting and analytics by documenting and analyzing business requirements, developing solutions, and supporting the feasibility studies for projects of various scope and complexity in support of Veolia’s Information Technology strategy.

The position manages the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification of multi-level requirements from business partners and supports the ongoing management of the requirements in a cost-effective way. Through strong interpersonal skills and exceptional business understanding, s/he will build trust with business partners to help elevate business and technical requirements through excellent business writing and SDLC methodologies.

Incumbents for this position will have the opportunity to work on two different career paths:

Technical Path – Develop and executive a technical specification document summarizing the business requirements. Focus on the development, delivery and management of Business Intelligence reports and Dashboards utilizing the best technical solution.

Customer Facing Role - Act as a liaison between business partners and the IT team. S/he understands the business requirements and business process management, and then translates them to software/reporting requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Develop customized reporting in Tableau and Telerik using energy data and a variety of other data sources.

  2. Gathering and consolidating data from varied sources

  3. Influence and guide energy reporting strategy by collecting customer feedback and providing insights to internal stakeholders.

  4. Lead customer workshops to collect feedback and guide custom report design.

  5. Actively optimize and improve Tableau server performance in conjunction with vendor and internal develops resources.

  6. Fielding inquiry requests and managing problem resolution for customer energy monitoring issues.

  7. Collect and organize various energy data sources, develop analysis into processes and code using various tools such as Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and improve existing processes.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • BS/BA in Business, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline

  • Data Analytics certification preferred.

  • 2+ years of Tableau experience required.

  • Advanced SQL skills required.

  • Telerik reporting experience preferred.

  • Energy related experience preferred.

  • Advanced PC and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills required.

  • Languages: R, Python, or MATLAB preferred.

  • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills.

  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
