Business Information Developer Consultant Senior

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Preferred Location: Norfolk, VA.

The Business Information Developer Consultant Senior is responsible for the development and execution of data mining analyses. This job is focused on spending time thinking about programming and how it would be used to design solutions.

How you will make an impact:

  • Viewed as an expert in the development and execution of data mining analyses. Clinical data reporting.

  • Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical knowledge in clinical program operation and medical claims, etc.

  • Develops very complex and varied strategic reports from a Data Warehouse.

  • Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team.

  • Establishes and maintains advanced knowledge of data integration, scheduling tools, and automated reporting.

  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

  • Monitors project schedules and resolve issues with speed.

  • Develops and supports very complex Data Warehouse-related reports for commercial clients.

  • Conducts training and support ad hoc requests on all delivered results.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BS/BA degree minimum of 6 years experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Advanced SAS programming and SQL query skills preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical claims data is preferred.

  • 3+ years of Experience with Snowflake, SQL server management studio and/or Teradata is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of clinical program operation and data structure is strongly preferred.

  • Expert level PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and external clients is strongly preferred.
