What does Deal Management bring to Cardinal Health

Revenue Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services.

Deal Management owns the entire pre-deal process, including collaborating with sales to translate offer strategy into a customer-specific deal strategy and pricing, facilitating the deal approval process and related governance, and financial modeling of deal economics across a variety of scenarios. This job family is also responsible for validating our contracts have the appropriate terms and conditions prior to finalizing the relationship.

Responsibilities

  • The Advisor is responsible for developing, communicating and leading the execution of business strategy and customer profitability through pricing and value-capturing activities at both the strategic and tactical levels.

  • The role serves as an effective liaison with business unit leaders, marketing, legal, finance, sales, and IT.

  • This role manages the financial deal approval process for customer contracts, including building and effectively communicating deal strategy, profit and loss statement, and associated risks.

  • The Advisor is also responsible for a handful of projects, increasing the effectiveness of the Deal Modeling process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

  • 2-4 years' experience in related field preferred

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • Knowledge and ability to use analytical tools, including high proficiency of Excel and the ability to understand and execute SQL

  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures

  • Works on complex projects of large scope

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

  • Anticipated salary range: $65,500 - $98,175
