Boston University ADMISSIONS SYSTEMS LEAD, Enrollment Services Operations in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Boston University Enrollment Service Operations (ESO) seeks an Admissions Systems Lead. This position is responsible for completing hands-on functional and technical activities to support the Campus Solutions Admissions and Campus Community modules and their supported integrations with admissions systems across campus, including graduate and undergraduate systems, which is over 128,000 applicants. These activities include sustainment, enhancements, and defect fixes simultaneously on different workstreams of the project, including system design/configuration, data conversion, integration requirements, data management and reporting. This role engages clients and technical resources to prioritize and support service tickets. This position is eligible for two remote days. The Admissions Systems Lead works closely with undergraduate and graduate admissions, and IS&T stakeholders. The role has significant interaction and leadership with individuals and teams, such as subject matter experts, managers, and technical staff in support of the work. This role reports directly to the Associate Director for Admissions Systems.

The Admissions System Lead's primary duties include:

Analyzing, designing, and developing or improving business processes;

Facilitating workshops; •Writing project plans;

Working with vendors of packaged applications to resolve problems, test and understand impacts related to patches and upgrades;

Collecting and analyzing data and; •Creating and maintaining documentation.

Required Skills

A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Has five to eight years of relevant experience;

  • Possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail;

  • Has experience with process improvement;

  • Can demonstrate process analysis and facilitation skills;

  • Has the ability to learn and use software tools

  • Has experience leading cross functional teams and projects, especially with senior leadership;

  • Is comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and handling multiple simultaneous projects and assignments and;

  • Is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

  • A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Work experience in a college or university student service area is strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Experience with using Campus Solutions is a plus.
