Autoscribe Informatics, "A Xybion Company (https://www.xybion.com/) ", is looking for a strong, well accomplished, Sales Consultant to join the sales team of our fast growing software and services informatics company.

Sales territory includes the following states: ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD and DC (Candidate must be located within reasonable travel time to Boston, MA)

Autoscribe Informatics sells and supports data and information management solutions for laboratories around the world. Our software solution, Matrix Gemini, is used in labs spanning discovery through manufacturing, serving pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, food & beverage, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, veterinary and clinical labs as well as academic / research institutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Allocation of key accounts .

  • Existing account development.

  • Follow up on existing opportunities.

  • Follow up on new leads.

  • Prospecting - develop both known accounts and new accounts by cold calling via the telephone and where applicable, use of in-house telemarketing facilities.

  • Demonstrate the Autoscribe software solutions at an initial level and create configured demos as needed.

  • Close the business with help of management where needed.

  • Maintain the company CRM for the territory

  • Attend exhibitions and conferences.

  • Contribute to ideas for marketing campaigns.

  • Contribute to ideas for new products.

  • Meet agreed order targets.

  • Contribute pro-actively to the above and any other sales related topics.

  • Maintain good communication links with Technical Services department.

  • Create monthly report for manager.

  • Creation of a business plan for each financial year – copy will be provided for guidance.

  • Attendance at sales meetings.

  • Use of LinkedIn to expand the contact base.

  • Gather knowledge of customer business

  • Maintain knowledge of competition

  • Manage the sales process from opportunity creation/inquiry handling through to receipt of purchase order

Required skills:

  • Experience selling software and services into scientific laboratories

  • Keen understanding of laboratory workflows

  • Ability to sell complex software systems into the above industries

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience in responding to RFPs

  • A strong background / success in selling over $2.0M per annum

  • Energetic/professional, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of Windows® based computing

  • Experience with Matrix Gemini LIMS is a plus
