Scheduled Weekly Hours:0 Courier travels between Muscoda, Boscobel, and Fennimore to pick up and drop off supplies and samples.Job Description: Major Responsibilities: Gathers and delivers laboratory specimens, reports, X-rays, prescriptions, charts, mail, supplies and other items, to the proper facility or client on the designated route. Responsible for knowing at least two of the established courier routes. Able to perform multiple vehicle exits and re-entries. Maintains all temperature sensitive materials at the temperature required, i.e., ambient, refrigerated, or frozen. Refuels automobile, records mileage, completes vehicle inspections and reports necessary maintenance as needed. Keeps the vehicle interior and exterior clean and prepared for the next driver. Provides input and feedback regarding any/all client suggestions and concerns about laboratory/courier services to the Laboratory Management. Adheres to established routes and schedules as directed by Supply Chain management. Obeys all traffic regulations and does not allow unauthorized persons to travel in the courier vehicle. Attends monthly staff meetings and keeps current with updates and procedure changes posted by the Transportation Supervisor or Manager, Pharmacy Warehouse Distribution. Behaves in a manner consistent with Gundersen Health System customer service program and wears uniform shirt while on the routes. Work rotating on-call job schedule assignments as needed. Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or Manager, Pharmacy Warehouse Distribution.
