Job Description Position Summary: Provides maintenance and repairs to production machinery, computer systems and facility. Additionally, performs all the duties of a Maintenance Technician 1 as required. Key Duties / Responsibilities: Ensure proper operation of machines (Cheshire's, Ink Jet Printers and Alpha liners). Performs all maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner. Trains production technicians in the proper set-up and copy troubleshooting techniques. Performs activities to maintain and repair industrial computer controls and related I/O's. Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts. Utilizes illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment. Performs inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory. Performs housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping production floor after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned. Responds in a timely manner to all red lights and Maintainence requests on the production floor. Performs activities to acquire detailed knowledge of equipment components in order to diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunctions or provide corrective maintenance. Provides training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices. Inspects machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate. Provides training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspects their work. Maintains compliance with changing OSHA regulations. Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary job duties. Assists Production Technicians in resolving copy issues and other problems associated with production. Qualifications Education & Knowledge: High school diploma or general education certification. Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language. Computer software experience. Associates degree, Technical degree/certificate or equivalent preferred. Experience / Skills / Abilities: 1+years related experience. Electro-mechanical experience. Proficient in performing production equipment preventive maintenance. Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions. Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements. Able to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance. Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints. Computer literate. Must demonstrate good time management skills. Plans and organizes daily work flow. Experience: Prior electro-mechanical experience Communication & Contacts: Communicate with Plant personnel and leadership. Communicate with outside vendors, service and maintenance providers. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Walking, standing, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. on a routine basis.
