Description

If you're in the market for an accounting role in the Bonita Springs, Florida area, submit an application for Robert Half's open Senior Accountant position. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Other projects as required

  • Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

    Requirements - Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • 7+ years of overall general accounting experience

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • Payroll experience preferred

  • Great Plains (GPAC) experience desired

  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of Ad Hoc Reporting

  • Well-founded grasp of auditing

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience

  • Deep understanding of Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
