TEKsystems Deployment Technician in Bolingbrook, Illinois

The scope of the project:

• We are refreshing roughly 460 stores with new M440 Verifones as well as updating the HP Register Software.

• There will be a technician on site completing the physical work. The consultant will be here at corporate operating a conference line where the tech on site will be calling into for check in, Guidance/assistance and check out procedures. If working in the office isn’t approved by corporate the consultant will be on a bridge the entire time with a tech and someone from Ulta.

• They will be administering our Meraki network portal as well as the Verifone’s VHQ database. From those 2 sites we will be able to see the Verifones as the tech installs them.

• Later in the Rollout we will be installing 1 or 2 Registers at a store and then installing the new Verifones on all the registers.

The resource we are looking to add to the roster require moderate operational skills. Here are some good guidelines;

  1. Reliability. They will show on time and ready to work. I know this seems basic but… it has been an issue with previous candidates.

  2. Reliable Transportation. They have a means of getting to work every day/night as the project demands. If we do not get approval to work in the office a reliable home network and work from home setup is needed.

  3. No major vacation or other plans conflicting with the project dates/needs.

  4. Excellent spoken/written communication skills. Will spend a lot of time on the phone speaking with onsite technicians and referencing documentation.

  5. Basic PC operational skills. More is better but we are not looking for system administrator level.

  6. Understanding of the different components of a register and the different peripherals.
