Underground Transmission Line Engineer

POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking an entry or junior-level engineer to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Boise, Idaho office. As a member of POWER’s Underground team, you will be engaged in projects supporting senior-level engineers that will broaden and deepen your engineering skillsets. Ambitious engineers succeed in our company and we encourage continuous growth through training opportunities and industry participation. This position allows you to seek out interesting projects that provide unique challenges and serve to invigorate your engineering drive.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited university

  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel

  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer software efficiently

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Desired Education/Experience

  • Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)

  • Electrical engineering degree with a focus on power systems or civil engineering degree

  • Interest in underground line design and consulting engineering in the electric utility industry or civil engineering

  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or is a registered Engineer In Training (EIT)
