St. Luke's Health System Registered Nurse - Children's Palliative and Supportive Care Clinic in Boise, Idaho

Overview

St. Luke’s Children’s Palliative and Supportive Care is the only pediatric palliative care team in Idaho and provides inpatient and outpatient palliative care continuity support to the most medically complex children in a multi-state region. The team supports patients from in-utero

through early adulthood (0-24yo), from disease diagnosis into serious illness management, sometimes through End-of-Life care, collaborating across clinical care environments including inpatient, outpatient, Maternal Fetal Medicine MFM/OB, Cancer Institute Children’s CIC, and home health and hospice. They aim to give every patient and family informed and maximally supported care in hopes that their complex medical care lines up with their goals and values.

What You Can Expect:

  • This role is primarily located in the St. Luke's Children's Pavilion and will support both outpatient and inpatient clinical work of the team.

  • The RN will assist with being involved in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge care, triage/in-basket messages/referrals/prior authorizations, care coordination between specialities outside of palliative care, collaborating with community partners, patient education, and more.

  • Schedule: 3 days / week, flexible hours to meet 0.6 FTE requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Degree

  • Experience: 1 years' experience

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
