CSW Industrials Purchasing Intern in Boise, Idaho

Description

Position Summary The Purchasing Intern will assist the Purchasing team with the procurement of supplies and materials for Operations, provide support to the Warehouse team, and work on projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with Warehouse team to resolve delivery discrepancies

• Work with suppliers to resolve past due deliveries to avoid stockouts

• Assist with receiving non-stock purchase orders

• Research potential new suppliers and gather data for cost savings projects

• Work with Operations and Warehouse to install a visual Kanban for packaging supplies

• Work with Operations to develop and implement a storage layout for fasteners / hardware

• Support the site by reviewing and maintaining MRP Master Data using demand trends and expectations

• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business or related subject

• Ability and desire to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

• Able to work cooperatively in a team and take direction

• Able to communicate professionally in writing and verbally

• Able to use MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiently and learn ERP software

Other Requirements

• Physical- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This role also spends time in the Warehouse and on the Production floor and must be able to safely maneuver in both environments.
