POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS:

We are looking to hire Charge Nurse for our Boise Ortho Joint Trauma Unit.

As a Charge Nurse on our Ortho/Joint Trauma Unit, you will have the opportunity to practice to the top of your license while providing guidance, direction, and support to patient care staff. This includes serving as the clinical resource during shift, managing work schedules; and following through on falls, codes and rapid response team events.

Schedule: Full Time Nights - three 12-hour shifts per week

Differentials: Night differential is an additional $4/hour plus Charge nurse pay is an additional $4/hour.

*This position is eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus and may be eligible for a generous relocation assistance package depending on location*

We are excited to introduce Trinity Health Virtual Connected Care™—a transformational team care model designed to improve patient care while providing nurses and care partners new opportunities and support. Locally based virtual RNs (vRNs) provide 24/7 care and help to patients and their families, while collaborating with bedside RNs and care partners to provide excellent care.

Virtual RNs (vRNs) provide onsite care 24/7 utilizing technology.

Trinity Health Virtual Connected Care™ utilizes onsite virtual nurses (vRNs) to provide expert level support through technology. These experienced nurses communicate directly with patients via an in-room TV monitor allowing patients to have access to the care team at any time.

Bedside RNs and Care Partners are able collaborate with experienced vRNs.

Trinity Health Virtual Connected Care™ provides mentoring and support for bedside nurses and care partners through the 24/7 support of the onsite virtual nurse. Our team model allows early career nurses to build confidence while providing complex care. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families.

  • Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

  • In addition to providing hands-on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family. ​

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be licensed in the State of Idaho as a Registered Nurse as defined by the Idaho State Board of Nursing.

  • Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk or Heart & Stroke BLS Certificate required.

  • Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
