Sunrun Associate Civil Engineer II in Boise, Idaho

Sunrun is on a mission to make solar energy affordable for more people. We help people upgrade their home to solar energy without the big upfront costs. Sunrun is dedicated residential solar company in the country and has a mission to bring clean, solar power service to the masses.

This position reports to our San Francisco, CA office. May telecommute. Requires 10% travel throughout the U.S. to project sites and to Sunrun offices to provide training. Sunrun has offices in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NV, NY, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, and VT. The Associate Civil Engineer may be required to travel to any or all of these offices and could also be required to visit various unanticipated project sites in any U.S. state. Travel would typically be for several days at a time and may only consist of a few trips per year.

Salary offered: $86,528/ year.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and analyze structural integrity of residential rooftop solar designs.

  • Handle high production volumes efficiently while maintaining quality.

  • Provide Structural Engineering support for Site Technicians, Designers, Permit Coordinators, and Installers.

  • Support Quality Control program

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering

  • 2 y. exp. as a Civil Engineer applying structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis using RAM Elements, Ram Structural System, RAM Connection, ETABS, IDEA StatiCa, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.

  • Must include at least 1 y. exp. using the following: RISA 3D,RFEM, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, Python, VBA, C++ and MATLAB.

The starting salary/wage for this opportunity is in compliance with the local wage requirements.
