Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Greet guests, answer inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate individuals or departments within the organization.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR and Accounting departments.
  • Records daily journal entries for the Grove Hotel and additional journal entries as needed.
  • Assists with donation requests.
  • Assists payroll functions by answering employee questions, processing employee garnishments, verifying direct deposit accounts, and distributing pay cards and checks.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, employee parties, and various celebrations.
  • Assist with the recruitment process and job postings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\'s degree preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to multi-task, shift priorities, and remain organized in a constantly changing and fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

Solution-oriented self-starter with a strong service orientation.

Ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and throughout the organization.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
