Stryker Associate Compliance Manager (Hybrid) in Bogotá, Colombia

What you will do

This is an Associate Compliance Manager position that will be responsible for supporting Compliance Officer on departmental initiatives and assisting in the policies and procedures management, departmental controls and activities. The Associate Compliance Manager will promote Compliance best practices and awareness to ensure compliant business operations within Stryker NOLA (Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Puerto Rico) and Stryker Mexico.

  • Responsible for developing strong relationships throughout multiple business units and stakeholders to foster a consistent and collaborative approach to proactive compliance.

  • Responsible for ensuring the development and effective implementation of an effective Compliance program within area of responsibility which includes, but is not limited to communication, training, auditing, monitoring, and risk management.

  • Responsible for the analysis and approvals in regards of different departmental processes involving Interactions with HCPs, such as Events, Third Party Educational Conferences, and related matters.

  • Provide support and active contribution to the effectiveness of Stryker´s Compliance Program acting as a Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance, and influencing the behavior of Stryker´s employees being a role model and acting as a facilitator for the Compliance´s requirements.

  • Handle matters with an overall view to mitigate the Corporation's Legal and Compliance risks, provide proactive and solutions-oriented Compliance advice aligned with Compliance Officer that advances the business' objectives and represent the Company's interests.

  • Ensure that Compliance departmental activities will be conducted with high quality, that all relevant information will be gathered and updated in a timely manner and will be available in the appropriate forms, files and/or systems. Report any inconsistency and/or mistake promptly.

  • Actively contribute to propose, prepare, and implement innovative ways to provide additional value to the business in NOLA& Mexico in connection with the current needs/issues observed during the analysis of Compliance processes and lead strategic projects/initiatives aligned with Compliance Officer.

What you need

  • University Degree is required; post-degree is a plus.

  • Experience and proven capabilities in Compliance and/or Audit matters. Required previous experience of +6 years in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management and/or Legal departments.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (and, optionally and preferably, Portuguese including reading and writing).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent writing, oral communication, strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Professional should live in Colombia and be able to work in a hybrid way at the office in Bogota.
